Biography

Aimee Williams is a Staff Systems Engineer at GE Aerospace in Mobility Engines. In this role, she contributes to engine/airframe integration, certification and qualification, and adherence to requirements for commercial derivative engines. She also supports the growth of mobility engines programs to promote new business opportunities.

Prior to her role in industry, Aimee spent 5 years as a Research Engineer at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, where she provided technical expertise and technical program management in projects in space, propulsion, and hypersonic applications. Aimee graduated from Georgia Tech in 2019 with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering and previously with a BS in 2010 and MS in 2013. She studied the combustion dynamics of liquid-fueled bluff-body-stabilized flames and the autoignition of Jet-A sprays at afterburner conditions.

Outside of work, Aimee enjoys spending time with her spouse, Corey, and daughter, Ellee, and participating in hobbies such as ballet, hiking, and backpacking.
