Marcus is currently the Chief Engineer for all international programs and business development of the CH-53K Heavy Lift Helicopter. This follows Chief Engineer roles leading the design of the Army’s Future Attack and Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) and modernizing the BLACK HAWK fleet. He has run several large-scale research efforts, being awarded the Vertical Flight Society’s Harry T. Jensen Award for contributions to Rotorcraft Reliability and Safety.
While at Georgia Tech, he earned BS, MS and PhD degrees, all in Aerospace Engineering, specializing in Aerospace Structures and Materials. He was part of the inaugural Georgia Tech 40 Under 40 class and also holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon.
Based in Southern CT, Marcus spends his time with his children Clarinda and Domenic, cooking gourmet meals nightly. They are just about half-way to their goal of hiking in all 63 National Parks. In his spare time he still plays ice hockey (Go Werewolves!).
