Nabeel Mahmood currently works as a Lead Avionics Engineer at Millennium Space Systems where he is performing avionics system development and test for small satellites. Prior to joining Millennium, Nabeel held roles of increasing responsibility as a systems engineer at Rivian Automotive, Boeing, and Northrop Grumman.

While at Georgia Tech, Nabeel was involved in several student organizations with notable memberships being on the executive committees of AIAA and Sigma Gamma Tau, as well as serving as the AE Student Government representative for the 2017-2018 school year. After finishing his undergraduate degree in 2018, Nabeel obtained his Master's degree in 2021 through the DL MSAE program at Georgia Tech while working full-time. Nabeel began his career in the field of Model-Based Systems Engineering after extensively researching the topic at ASDL, but has since pivoted towards studying and practicing avionics engineering and system design as the field of satellite engineering evolves.

Nabeel is also heavily involved in mentoring and giving guidance to many younger engineers on topics such as finding useful internships and jobs, effective tech company interview strategies, negotiation tactics, maximizing use of time as a college student through research and clubs, and helping to create career roadmaps for soon-to-be-graduating engineers. Outside of work, Nabeel enjoys running, spending time with his cats, sampling the Los Angeles food scene with his girlfriend, and watching Formula 1.
