Biography

Dr. Stephanie Introne is a Member of Technical Staff in The Aerospace Corporation’s Space Enterprise Design and Optimization Department (SEDOD) in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, Stephanie uses advanced simulation tools and analytical methods to drive the modeling, analysis, and optimization of space mission architectures from acquisition to operations. Before joining Aerospace, Stephanie earned her doctorate in aerospace engineering at Georgia Tech in 2024, where her research focused on applying real options analysis to cislunar space mission planning. Her dissertation introduced innovative methodologies that streamlined complex decision trees, enabling rapid, real-time evaluations of mission alternatives.

Stephanie earned her Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2021 and her Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 2020. As a graduate student, she was a member of the Aerospace Systems Design Lab under Prof. Dimitri Mavris and performed research on systems-of-systems concepts, including military campaign analysis for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and developing tabletop exercises for cislunar architecting for the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). As an undergraduate student, Stephanie interned at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center with the Satellite Servicing Projects Division and the Roman Space Telescope team.

Stephanie is also an advocate for women and gender minorities in aerospace, serving on the Diversity and Gender Equality Project Group of the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) and as a representative for the Colorado branch of her employers Aerospace Women’s Committee. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner (GT MSAE ’22) and their dogs.
